We bought a house, a big beautiful house in the Cambridgeshire countryside. Built between 1937 and 1939 it is an amazing example of modernist architecture and it was love at first sight. It is a crumbling, cold and leaking example though and this is our journey of restoration, our adventure into a new world of listing regulations, conservation, architecture and design. Of chimney sweeps, tree surgeons, gardeners and reclamation yards. I can’t wait to document our progress. Be patient… it might be slow!
